In February 2025 we closed the second year of the STEP UP project, implemented in Ghana by DUNK-grassroots and financed by 8xmille della Chiesa Valdese.
The registration of a female cooperative has been the main achievement of this second year project. The young ladies are improving their competencies and they are preparing for the batik and sewing production.
To create their own brand, the ladies are attending design, leather and batik courses. At the same time, we continue the personal development, management, English and math courses to allow them to reach full indipendence and boost their self esteem.
we continue to enroll and train new young ladies for free to guarantee the sustainability of the cooperative.
