In Accra deprived communities, teenage mothers are marginalized and unable to secure decent jobs to provide for their families.
At our vocational center, we empower these young disadvantaged women to become self-aware and self-confident through:
- Learning vocational skills like sewing, batik and art works
- Sexual education to prevent unwanted pregnancies and the spread of STD
- Basic business courses to learn how to manage a trade
By giving opportunities to these girls, we hope to create ambassadors and to inspire many more teenagers within the larger community.
